Mahatma Gandhi Government Engineering College, Jeori (MGGEC) was established in 2015 in the natural backdrop of the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Technical college affiliated to this university approved by All India Council for Technical Education which is shortly known as AICTE is emerging fast as an important institution in the field of engineering education.
Situated at Kotla (Jeori), Tehsil Rampur, MGGEC currently offers only two engineering programmes at the undergraduate level with total enrolment of 120 students. The college has a faculty team of 5 members who are fully committed to serve the students of the college.
Mahatma Gandhi Government Engineering College has well endowed infrastructure facilities in all the fields comprising of educational and student’s development. MGGEC has a good stock of library built with JNGEC Sundernagar through which the students gets all kind of books facility. The institution has sound information technology base that is a key ingredient in a modern day engineering education process.
Laboratories are situated per department where student can apply concepts in use in actual scenario. Sports lovers are also privileged as MGGEC own indoor and out door games of JNGEC Sundernagar and Government Polytechnic Sundernagar. The college also boasts of a well manicured play ground with facilities for both major and minor games/Athletic track of 400 meters/ cricket turf.
MGGEC currently offers two full-time B. Tech programmes: Civil Engineering And Mechanical Engineering.
