Nutanhat Teachers' Training Institute, Burdwan

One of the popular Educational Institutes for teacher training, Nutanhat Teachers' Training Institute, is sited in Burdwan, West Bengal. This co-ed institution came into existence in the year 2012. Within such a short span, it has turned out to be one of the leading institutes in the realm of education.

The National Council for Teacher Education has given approval for the institute; it works as an affiliated college so that the courses would be absolutely at par with the national standards. Presently, Nutanhat Teachers' Training Institute is running with 112 enrolled students and a faculty strength of 15, providing focused education.

The institute has numerous facilities that can be availed to support its mission for education. At the centre lies a well-stocked library with a sitting capacity of 50, comprising over 6,000 books and 2,000 titles pertaining to different sections like references, journals, and a well-maintained reading room.

Many other well-equipped laboratories are provided for different subjects such as Psychology, Art & Craft, Language, Computer Science, Geography, and Sciences. A multipurpose auditorium covering more than 2,000 sq. It has an area of Sq. ft. for Academic and Cultural Activities with a seating capacity of 200 students.

The institute has a well-equipped Computer Laboratory with internet facilities to make the students conversant with computers. Sports facilities for outdoor and indoor games are available to ensure overall personality development. Separate boys' and girls' hostels in the campus provide comfortable accommodation to students coming from different parts of the country.

At present, Nutanhat Teachers' Training Institute offers only one prime course: the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) program. This is a regular two-year program that aims to develop successful teaching professionals.

The number of sanctioned seats for the said course is 100, which simply means that the institute has an idealistic view of efficient education with quality but still caters to a large number of teachers in the making.
