Pinnacle School of Engineering and Technology, Anchal

Pinnacle School of Engineering and Technology, Anchal, is one of the newly established engineering colleges in Kollam district of Kerala, formed in 2013. This is a coeducational institute, which is an affiliated college recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college located in Areeplachy, Ayanicode, is placed in a calm environment that is most appropriate for learning.

PSET aims at providing quality education in engineering disciplines with 68 dedicated professional Faculties working in PSET. Pinnacle School of Engineering and Technology has numerous sophisticated facilities to promote learning among the students, as stated in the following section. First aid and emergency management amenities locate in a medical centre help people of the campus protect their health.

As one of the top colleges the library is well stocked with various books and magazines, journals, and digital resources mainly in the fields of engineering and technology. As much as students gain access to e-journals, they are able to tap knowledge past geographic locations.

The belief in practical orientation of the college is exemplified by its first rate carpentry, smithy, foundry, sheet metal, welding, fitting, and machinery shops. Such workshops are important since they allow the practical skills which are compulsory for the first year’s engineering students.

For this reason, Pinnacle School of Engineering and Technology provides its students with different types of engineering fields of study to choose from. The institute offers seven programmes at two levels of technology– the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) and the Master of Technology (M. Tech). All the B. Tech programmes are four year, full time programmes and the M.

Tech programme offered by the University is a two year, full time course. The B. Tech programmes are Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 60 students in each programme. For the postgraduate level the college offers M. Tech in Structural Engineering and Construction Management for a strength of 18 students.

The admission process therefore adopted at Pinnacle School of Engineering and Technology is a fairly made process. For B. Tech programmes the institution accepts scores from Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM). This is a state-level entrance exam through which candidates interested in engineering can join this institute.
