Prabharani B. Ed. College started in the district of Murshidabad, West Bengal, at Berhampore in 2004. Co-ed on a campus area of 129 acres with the aim and motto to groom teachers for the future. It is approved from the National Council for Teacher Education and it is an affiliated college with prescribed curriculum of affiliating body.
This college has a total enrollment of 221 students against a faculty strength of 26, thereby maintaining a very appreciable student-teacher ratio for a conducive learning environment. The institution has a host of facilities to enrich the academic experience of the students. The library, being well-stocked, is headed by Librarian Bikash Ch. Ghosh and forms a very useful entity for the aspiring teachers.
This shall provide hands-on experience in educational technology through the 20-computer modernized computer laboratory. Similarly, science laboratories, work-education facilities, and a geography lab provide hands-on experiences. There is also a Psychology Lab and modern Education Technology-cum-A. V. Rooms within the college, which shall help students meet the newer challenges of the emerging scenario of education.
The institute has sports facilities on campus along with courts for indoor and outdoor games, a canteen, and a health center with first-aid facilities for students. Most importantly, it provides hostels for boys and girls from distant areas. Prabharani B. Ed. College runs a goal-oriented curriculum. The major course at Prabharani B. Ed.
