Providence College of Engineering, Alappuzha was established in the year 2015 and is an informative educational technical college in Kerala, India. Chengannur is the home ground of this affiliated college and its area of operation is 10. 19 acre. Currently, the institute lays down a wide spectrum of engineering and management disciplines; having eight courses offered at two degree levels.
This college is accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE and has made a good place among colleges in the region to calm down after its quick development. Providence College of Engineering has various facilities that aim at improving every learning experience within the institution. For the campus based residents, the institution has provided hostels for both male and female students. Regarding students’ welfare, a health centre is available where first aid is provided to the learners by the college. The campus also has well equipped modern laboratories, a tastefully designed and fully equipped canteen and transport facilities in form of buses among other attributes which make everything just within arm’s reach for the students. Courses that are offered at Providence College of Engineering include a full range of 9 full-time programmes with emphasis on engineering. 7 B.
Tech programmes and an MBA programme are offered at the institute, to meet the need of the students interested in these fields. The B. Tech programmes include civil engineering, mechanical engineering Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things and Cyber Security Including Block Chain Technology among others.
The total approved intake across all the courses is 420 students, this is an acknowledgement of the college intent to provide quality education to even a large number of students. Many students apply for admissions in this college and among them most if not all the students are admitted on the basis of their KEAM Entrance Examination scores.
This is a state-level examination conducted under the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala and through which students make a way to this university to study Engineering. All the B. Tech programmes offered by the college have provisions where the candidate can submit their KEAM score which make the admission procedures equally competitive.
Different years may have different dates but, generally, aspirants are encouraged to follow the KEAM exam which is usually in the first half of the year. Separate admission procedure may apply for the MBA programme and prospective learners should visit the college website for more information.
