Pt Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar PTT and B Ed College, Paschim Medinipur

PT Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar PTT and B. Ed College is one of the new institutions run by PT Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar which was established in 2017 in Paschim Medinipur of West Bengal. This is a co-educational college affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE). Located on a small area of approximately 1. 46 acres, the college provides two full-time courses with an acquittal of hundred students.

The institute maintains a student-faculty ratio of 10:1 accommodating each learner in a one on one basis. Offering teacher education, the college offers B. Ed. And D. E. Ed. courses for the students interested in teaching at a certain level. As part of this facility, PT Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar PTT and B.

Ed College has a number of well-equipped infrastructure facilities that aim at developing or improving learning facilities and development of students. A modern library stocked with all the appropriate tools prepares students for learning and other academic activities. The institution is aware of the need to have students excel in their health by providing different beach facilities for indoor and outdoor sports.

As for technology in learning, the college has developed sound Information Technology facilities. The campus also has a separate hostels for boys and girls for those students from other towns/provinces to make sure that they are accommodate comfortably. The main multipurpose hall of the college doubles up as an auditorium for hosting programmes and seminars regularly helping create a lively collegiate atmosphere.

PT Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar PTT and B. Ed College offers two full-time course . At the postraduate level, the courses offered are Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed). They both take two years to complete and they offer preparation to students to become teachers.

Enrolment for each course offered by the college is at 50 students making the total number of spots available to be 100 between the two programmes. PT Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar PTT and B. Ed College admission procedure is on the basis of the student’s performance in any previous qualifying examination/entrance examination.

Admission policies in the college is determined by the West Bengal state government and the affiliating university. For the B. Ed programme, the selection of candidates is done strictly based on mark obtained in qualifying examination or through selection process as per state government University norms. For the D. El.

Ed programme, admissions are directly given under the provision of merit in the qualifying examinations as well as through written test in compliance with government/UT policies.
