Pt JR Polytechnic College, Hoshiarpur

PT JR Polytechnic College, established in 1962, is an eminent technical institute situated in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. This affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers different diploma courses in engineering streams. The college occupies a vast land space of 27 acres with total contribution of students 901 and total faculty members 37.

PT JR Polytechnic College has been establishing the foundation of engineering students for more than sixty years as a premier technical college. PT JR Polytechnic College avails a favourable learning environment with appropriate facilities for learning. The students are facilitated with laboratories to meet different departments’ requirements in terms of practical assessment.

The college at present offers seven diploma courses such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering , Electronics and Communications engineering, Mechanical Engineering , Plastic Technology and D. Pharma . Every one of these programmes takes 60 students excpet D. Pharma, which takes 30 students.

In fact the admission to most of the engineering diploma courses are done on the basis of Joint Entrance Test ( JET ) organised by the State Board of Technical Education, Punjab .
