Rehbar Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhawanigarh

Rehbar Institute of Medical Sciences was founded in 2008, at Bhawanigarh, Punjab; it is a component institute that offers only nursing courses. Faggu Wala Kenchian, Sangrur Road, is a co-educational school which has a campus area of 3. raiseland. Recognised by the INC, the institute has two post basic nursing specialisations.

Aiming at providing quality education with total intake capacity of 175 students and faculty strength of 27 Rehbar Institute offers the students a competitive learning environment for pursuing a career in healthcare sector. The institute has arranged buses for the day scholars from Sangrur bus stand to the college on payment to the college. It has several laboratories for community health, nutrition and nursing art for the students to exposure to state of the art technologies. Technologically endowed computer laboratory assists to train the students with the technological health care society.

The institute’s library boasts of the air conditionalers, books by different authors, medical education CDs, journals and periodicals encouraging the students to study hard. Classrooms are large and airy with proper furniture and the necessary teaching aid like over head projectors.

The institute offers two nursing courses : GNM and ANM are Bachelor in nursing course and two year course in nursing respectively as a basic qualification.

The intakes for the GNM programme are approved for 50 students, while the intake for the ANM programme is not mentioned. The two programmes are structured to deliver a broad based nursing curriculum and train capable students for nursing practice. The GNM course takes three years while the ANM course is a two year course.
