Rukmini Devi College of Education is situated at Rohini, New Delhi; it is a single affiliated college targeting the education of teachers. This co-educational institution was founded in 2005 and has played the role of preparing future educators for almost two decades. The college affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is situated in a relatively tight land area of 0. 246 acres.

The institute accepts a total of 92 students, whilst the faculty staff strength is 8, which makes learning easy, as the faculty can closely monitor the progress of individual students and correct where necessary. Rukmini Devi College of Education has equipped many modern facilities to improve the learning process for the students studying in that college.

The classrooms are well fitted with air conditioning fans, enough space and a good supply of fresh air; with smart boards and quality furniture, the learning environment is made as friendly as possible. Being an integral part of the academic facility, the library comprises more than 2500 books in English and Hindi, depending on different fields of learning.

For practical training, the institute has designed a Home Science lab where the students can get the real experience for the meal planning and home management. Cognisant of the significance of technology in contemporary learning, the college has placed an IT framework with 21 interconnected computers that supports CAT, CAL, and CAA.

Currently the Rukmini Devi College of Education offers only one course, the Diploma in Pre-School Education ( DPSE ). This is a two-year full course programme that has an approved capacity of 50 students from each course. Even though the college is set on this specific course, it shows its concern in enabling quality education for professors in early childhood pedagogy.

This means that the institute can effectively cover certain types of courses, which in turn would enable the institute to provide its students a deeper and more intense learning experience about the subject matter. The admission system applied by Rukmini Devi College of Education is ultimately to enrol candidates who have an affinity forchildhood education.
