Sabuj B Ed College, South 24 Parganas

Sabuj B. Ed. College, the college under which the present study has been done, was established in 2014, and it is an affiliated college in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. This co-educational institute specialises in teacher training programmes, offering two key courses: B. Ed and Diploma in Elementary Education (Deliaed). courses like Bachelors and Secondary Education B.

Ed Partial and Secondary Education Diploma in Elementary Education (D. Ed). Located in the compact area of 0. 64 acres, the college got approved from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Sabuj B. Ed. College has a total students enrolment of 152 students for a year and faculty strength of 17, which ensures close academic communication space for a teacher trainee.

The college owns a number of facilities that improve students’ learning process in the college. A fully equipped library is an information centre that supplies appropriate information for learning purposes. This campus has an auditorium for any event, like seminars, and there is active learning on campus. In terms of health, the student can practise at sports facilities and in the gym.

The college also emphasises technology, as it provides good I & T facilities. Educationally, Sabuj B. Ed. College, an affiliated College of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University, Kolkata , does offer two regular courses related to the field of education. The B. Ed programme, with an intake capacity of 100 students, is of two years duration as a preparation of secondary and higher secondary teaching graduates.

Another course is the D. El. Ed course where 50 students are admitted, and two years were designed with the objectives of producing excellent teachers for elementary education. The admission in Sabuj B. Ed. College depends on the marks scored in the examination and/or any entrance test.
