Samana College of Design Studies, Hyderabad (SCDS) is a premier college for design studies exclusively established to encourage the skills of artists in the field of Design. This affiliated college was set up in the year 2010 in HITEC City Hyderabad where IT industries are set up.

SCDS currently provides a wide variety of programmes; registered for offering 5 courses in two degree levels, concentrating in fashion design, interior design and photography. In its full-time study programmes the college reflected its aim of producing competent designer ready to take on the competitive market on the arrival.

Samana College of Design Studies, Hyderabad is affiliated with the college Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad. Samana College of Design Studies enhance the students with technologically advanced designing environment.

Sporting well designed and equipped subject areas, specialist teaching facilities, specially equipped laboratories and industrial specification equipment the learning environment is inspirational. Organisationally the building infrastructure also encourages collaborative working through teaching spaces, workshops – design laboratories, studios, computer suites etc.

In totality, SCDS provides 5 courses out of which all the courses taught are full-time programmes. The range of programmes is as follows: Two B. Des degree programmes, each of four years, in Fashion Design and Interior Design.

In addition, the college offers three diploma courses enroled for one year in Fashion design, Interior design , and Photography . These diverse courses help students to focus on their area of specialisation in design and enable the students to acquire both theoretical and practical concepts helpful when working in design companies.

The admission policy at Samana College of Design Studies was particularly developed to enrol and foster talent in design.
