Sarada Vilas Teacher’s College is one of the famous teacher education colleges situated in Mysore, Karnataka. It is a co-educational college that was founded in 1963 and preparing the future educators for almost 60 years. Sarada Vilas Teacher’s College offers and provides a set of facilities aimed at improving the learning process for the students.
The 22391 books of the library are on education and the library can take up to 55 students at a time and is used commonly for assignment, project, or individual learning purposes. For practical purposes, the college is fitted with well-equipped laboratories that include the Psychology Laboratory, the Science Laboratories, the Education Technology Laboratory and the Computer Laboratory.
An auditorium is used for conducting events and seminars and a cafeteria provides clean and healthy food. The campus also has various interventions like, free wireless internet connection, a fitness centre, sports field and a health station that provides first aid services. Sarada Vilas Teacher’s college additionally offers two year full time B. Ed programme as it’s principal course.
The programme is approved to admit 100 students to teach future teachers who hope to make sure that they have a solid grounding in educational theory and the practice. Sarada Vilas Teacher’s College offers admission for all the years based on merit calculated by identifying the marks scored in the qualifying/entrance examination.
