Sheopur Institute of Professional Studies is an affiliated college started in 2005 situated in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. This is recognized institution approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which focuses on conducted teacher education programs. The total intake of students is 428 and the faculty strength is 40 thus providing a good teaching –learning environment.

The campus is located near New Anaj Mandi Link Road this made it easy for students to access the campus. SIPS, as it's commonly known, offers two full-time courses: B. ED and D. EL. ED to help the learners, who want to become a teacher at different stages. Most of these have been developed to help in the learning process of the students in the institute.

The library being one of the most important components of academic resources contains a constantly expanding stock of books and periodicals. Efforts are being made to region the creation of an e-library to ensure that more people are put in touch with books. Practical facilities Science practicals can to large extent be carried out individually and the institute’s laboratories are however well-equipped.

The students practice in the educational technology lab, equipped with current abilities, to prepare trainee teachers for the integration of IT in education. Overemphasising theory in teacher training is complimented through a psychological lab with numerous apparatus and inventories. SIPS offers two primary courses: The programme includes the Bachelors of Education (B. Ed) , and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.

El. Ed) . The B. Ed program intakes are 100 students, while the students’ capacity for the D. El. Ed program is 150 students. It consists of two years which is a fully-timeprogram aimed at producing qualified and professional teachers. The aggregate students’ enrolment for all courses offered is 250, though the institute believes in offering classes that accommodate reasonable numbers for learning.

The admission policy of Sheopur Institute of Professional Studies is in compliance with the guidelines governing admission made by the government. The B. Ed program admissions are done through the Higher Education Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government. It is done on merit gained in a pre B. Ed test conducted by Vyapam and then through counseling online.
