Shyama Devi College of Education, Raisen

Shyama Devi College of Education, situated in Raisen, Madhya Pradesh, India was set up in 2017 and works as a single-stream college. It is a co-educational school with a compact area of 1 acres of land specialized in education and arts.

The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE, the college at present offers total intakes of 85 students and it has employed a team of nine committed faculties. With its focus on teacher training and vocal arts, the institute provides two distinct degree programmes: ,D. El. Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) and BA Vocal.

Here, the institutional aims are complemented by complex of facilities that are to foster the learning process. As it will be noticed, the library acts as an informational center and provides information to students in their educational endeavours. For physical development and recreation games and sports facilities are encouraged for use by all those students.

The college contains an auditorium where diverse events, including seminars, are held thereby promoting the college activities. Further, to enhance the quality input for the students learning, the institute has adopted good IT outfit so as to avail modern technology for learning. It is worthy to note that Shyama Devi College of Education has a specialised courses’ structure and has only two full-fledged courses .

The D. El. Ed programme is two-year full-time programme which has an approved intake capacity of 50 students to prepare the future generation of teachers for teaching at Elementary level. BA Vocal is a three-year course by the Bedford College for students who desire to take up music focusing on vocals. Admission procedure at Shyama Devi College of Education is done on the basis of merit especially in D. El.

Ed programme. Readmissions depend on the marks in the qualifying and/or entrance examination as per the rules and regulation of the state government of Madhya Pradesh.
