Sikkim Institute of Higher Nyingma Studies, Gangtok

Sikkim Institute of Higher Nyingma Studies situated at Gangtok (SIHNS) is an ancient institution that came into existence in 1964. Located in Gangtok, Sikkim this affiliated college is having a small extent of 2. 06 acres of land. SIHNS enjoys the NAAC accreditation highlighting what the school is doing to ensure quality education in the country.

The institute has vision to start two programmes namely, the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) with an intake capacity of 240 students for both programmes. Having 11 well qualified members as faculties, SIHNS can provide individual care to the students enroled.

Sikkim Institute of Higher Nyingma Studies boasts of embracing the provision of several facilities that go a long way in improving students’ learning experiences as produced in the following sub Section. The three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme and has an approved capacity of 150 students. There are 90 students for the two-year Master of Arts (MA) for those who want to further their study. These two degree programmes aim at offering a complete course in their specialties so that students could be prepared for further education and career.

The institute is equipped with arts and humanities departments, which shows its intention to disseminate identified cultural asset. Moreover it is situated at Gangtok hence the students get an opportunity to understudy in a diverse area of operation. Located at Pangthang, P.
