SKS College, Gwalior

SKS College in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, was founded in 2014, and is an affiliated college. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which fulfills the qualities to teach students. Located in Post-Baroua, Near Rairu, A. B. Road, Gwalior-474005, the college provides specialised mode of education for teachers.

SK College has a staff strength of 16 committed teachers and classes are conducive for those student who want to train as teachers. At the moment, the college has only one B. Ed programme which is in the discipline of full-time, even though the government has given it approval to admit one hundred students. SKS College provides students with the necessary academic and other facilities.

One of the fundamental divisions of the institute is a library, stocked with approximately 8,500 professional books, journals, and integrated library packages. It also avails study tables, preview facilities and photocopier to assist students in their study and research.

The college possesses modern IT facilities containing latest technological computer, final year student level available core 2 duo processor enabled scanning/multimedia computer lab. From general computing to specific applications, freedom of access to the internet and analytical statistical purposes, this facility is useful at this facility.

The major objective of SKS college, Gwalior, is to impart quality education in the field of teaching. B. Ed programme is a full-time course of two years duration, formulated for providing success oriented career for the students in the field of education. This is through the NCTE approval of the college and the dedicated faculty the college has in teacher education. The B.

Ed programme has the authorised admission capacity of 100 students and opens a vast scope for the interested individuals who are looking forward to be a part of this noble profession. The admissions in B. Ed programme in SKS College, Gwalior is done through merit only.

Students are admitted according the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and /or entrance examination as per the policies of the state government and the university. This in a way makes sure that deserving people who want to teach are afforded a chance to. SKS College Gwalior also provided various facilities to make student comfortable.

The institute has separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls for those who come from other stations. There is a big cafeteria accommodating over 200 people with serving multi cuisine meals and snacks. Facilities for indoor recreation available in this college include table tennis, carrom, and chess.

There is also a seminar hall in the college that is complete with Ultra Modern facilities that can hold a maximum capacity of 300 students, richly suitable for seminars and presentations. In addition, the institute has the transport facilities from some of the major places which makes the travelling comfortable for students as well as staffs.
