Sophia Nursing College, Gwalior

Sophia Nursing College was started in the year 2002 and is a reputed nursing college situated in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. As a coeducational college which is a part of an unnamed university, this college provides a number of nursing programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, Sophia Nursing College has placed importance on imparting quality education in nursing.

The campus is spread over 0. 57 acres and is located in the main Gwalior city. The college has a total student strength of 156, besides having sixty-two faculty members that make efficient provision of quality education to students possible while at the same time availing ample student-teacher ratios.

Sophia Nursing College has functional facilities and infrastructure that help in improving the students learning experience. For special training, the college has functional laboratories such as the Fundamentals of Nursing Lab, Anatomy & Physiology & Biochemistry Lab, Nutrition Lab, Community & OB/Gynae Lab, Microbiology Lab, AV Lab, etc. The college also has separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls, about 1 kilometre from the college campus.

These sorts of hostels are well-furnished with basic facilities and are managed by wardens to provide appropriate and secure accommodation. The campus also has a centre for health with first aid amenities, sporting amenities, an Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, and a dining facility with healthy foods. A total of seven programmes are offered at Sophia Nursing College at two levels of degree.

Out of all of these, the college offers four full-time undergraduate courses and three full-time postgraduate courses. The overall capacity approved for all programmes is 100 students.
