South Salmara College, Dhubri

South Salmara College, which started its journey in 1986, is an affiliated college situated in Dhubri in Assam. Located in an area of 20 acres of grounds, this college focuses on the task of educating students in this area. At present, South Salmara College has 580 students and 23 faculty members, which means that the college provides individual attention.

The college itself, at present, delivers three full-time undergraduate programmes, two of which are honours courses. These are characteristic features that can facilitate the educational process in the college. It is a public/government college affiliated with Gauhati University . The college offers undergraduate programmes, primarily B. A. degrees with specialisations in various arts disciplines.

The focal facilities of South Salmara College are central libraries featuring a rich stock of textbooks, references, and susubstantive-levelooks books. The centre of attention also has a cosy library with a reading hall for both members of the faculty as well as students. In case one is interested in physical activities, the college provides exercises and twhichbalance their learning process.

The institution also has modern classrooms as a tool for teaching and learning. In addition, there is an auditorium to carry out functions and activities, enhancing the students’ co-curricular activities on campus. At present, South Salmara College has opened three undergraduate programmes , which are all regular courses.

These are a normal BA programme and two honours programmes, namely BA Political Science Hons & BA Assamese Hons.
