Sri Sai College of Education, Nandikotkur

Sri Sai College of Education is established at Nandikotkur, Andhra Pradesh, to provide the best future of education. This co-educational college was set up in 2007, and over the many years it has been in existence, it has been preparing future teachers. Located on a small 2-acre site, the college provides an effective training facility for its 298 enrolled students.

The institute boasts a faculty of 16 educators, which means it has a small student-educator ratio; as a result, students receive quite the attention they need from competent teachers. It has a number of resources that are intended to facilitate college learning for the students.

At the centre of these is a very good library with a sitting capacity of 100 with books of various disciplines and authors ranging from academic to self-help, interpersonal skills, and communication skills. For physical development, the college provides for sports whereby students have an opportunity to balance their academic lives with their physical lives. An auditorium is used for occasions and lectures; the university gives students a way to experience aspects of their lives outside the classroom.

This college also possesses the departmental laboratories, class rooms, and modern information technology facilities so as to provide the experienced base exposure to the students along with technology parameters. Sri Sai College of Education, an affiliated College of Rayalaseema University, Kurnool , offers two primary courses in the field of education. These include the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed.

) and Diploma in Education ( D. Ed. ). Each of them is delivered full-time and lasts two years. The undergrad programme, B. Ed. , which is the flagship programme of the college, has an approved annual admission capacity of one hundred students. Sri Sai College of Education has a very strict admission policy that seeks to admit candidates with potential for producing quality educators. Concerning the B. Ed.

programme admission is through the Ed. CET programme (Education Common Entrance Test) examination. Assessment based on this entrance test determines candidates ranking in each of these methodologies. Akin to the above, the criteria for admission in the D. Ed. programme are laid down by the DEECET (Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test).
