St. Thomas College of Nursing, Kottayam, is one of the well known nursing colleges started in the year 2002 and is situated at Chethipuzha, Kerala. The college has provision for sports and games and a health facility with first aid for any accidental injuries. A multipurpose auditorium with 500 seating capacity for conferences, seminars and other purposes exist in the school. On this regard, in order to increase student comfort, the institution has provided transport facilities of a 50-seater bus and a 14-seater van. St.

Thomas College of Nursing has a specialised programme and has two full-time nursing courses. The four years undergraduate programme includes B. Sc Nursing which has 50 students intake. To the high level of specialisation, the college provides Master of Science in Medical Surgical Nursing and has 4 intake capacity for two years course.

Both courses are intended to offer the biblical understanding of a nurse’s profession, as well as special training to become a professional nurse. The total of all students in the college is fifty four, though the college admits many students in the different study programmes, it has adopted a policy of limiting the number of students in a class to improve quality education.
