Swami Parmanand Polytechnic, Lalru,started in the year 2007 located at Jaulan Kalan, district: Mohali, Punjab affiliated to GTB & GIC daughter college. This institution has available diploma courses in several fields of engineering. Located over a vast area of 47 acres the polytechnic has an overall strength of 610 students and has 65 faculty members.

There are six full time diploma coursesoffered by institute all of which last for three years of learning, which focuses on technical education in respective engineering fields. The polytechnic boasts of facilities that are within of international standards in order to support the students’ learning process.

The campus has its hostels for boys and girls in that it offers them a home atmosphere with a strong emphasis on security, comfort, and shelter.

This ensures that the students are physically fit always since there is a well equipped gym in school, in addition to that there is a well stocked library which is air conditioned to accommodate over 30000 books, 2000 CDs and a wealth of national and international journals to aid the students and faculty in their research activities.

In addition, the institute has sophisticated practical and teaching facilities, a wireless campus, and a computer/internet lab for projects and research. Currently Swami Parmanand Polytechnic has been providing total of six diploma courses and all are under full time.

These include the Diploma in the following fields; Mechanical Engineering , Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering , Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering as well as Automobile Engineering . Admission process in Swami Parmanand Polytechnic has been made uncomplicated in order to encourage the students to join the college.
