Swami Vivekananda College of Education, Hooghly, established in the year 2015, is an affiliated college located in the district of Hooghly, West Bengal, India. The college has a compact campus spread over an area of 0. 8201 acres with a strong commitment to developing potential teachers. This institution has been approved by NCTE and has been offering two specialised courses in education.

The student enrolment is 274, and the faculty strength is 25, thereby maintaining a quite favourable student-teacher ratio, which gives room for personalised attention and quality education. The college is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE), and it is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Swami Vivekananda College of Education provides two full-time courses, catering to different levels of teacher education. The Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) is a two-year course aimed at those who want to become teachers in secondary schools. The D. El. Ed, a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, caters to primary education.

Both these courses are oriented such that students are able to get all-round knowledge of the educational theories and practices under the learning environment, so that they can be prepared to face the challenge of modern-day teaching. Ed 50 The admissions in the Swami Vivekananda College of Education will be strictly on the basis of merit, depending on the state government and the affiliating university's policies. Admission in B. Ed courses will strictly be based on the basis of qualifying marks and/or entrance examination. Other factors may be added to the selection process according to the state government or university directions.

Similarly, admission to the D. El. Ed. The course is merit-based with respect to marks in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance test, subject to the policies of the government of the state.
