Situated in Burdwan, West Bengal, Swami Vivekananda Institution for Teachers Training can well be considered a relatively new educational institution, as it came into being in 2015. For the D. El. Ed course, similarly, the admission is made on a purely merit basis by taking into consideration the marks in the entrance test and/or the marks in the qualifying examination. The institute adheres to the state government's procedure on selection and hence makes it fair and transparent.
