Travancore Engineering College, known as TE, was started in the year 2002 and is situated in Kollam, Kerala. This affiliated college, which has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education – AICTE several engineering programmes for its students on its 25-acre campus. TEC, with a total student enrolment of 88 and a faculty strength of 61, helps the institute deliver focused education.
The college is currently offering four B. Tech programmes where students are prepared with recent knowledge in the respective disciplines. The quality standards in TEC are well depicted by its favourable infrastructure as well as a curriculum that is consonance with the market. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), Trivandrum.
Travancore Engineering College has a list of facilities and infrastructure that are well-equipped to facilitate the students’ learning and development. The library has more than 8000 desirable books on various fields of engineering, technology, science and humanities.

Tech programmes : Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering .
These programmes are flexible ones that need to capture the aspirations of engineering students and the changing requirements of the profession. The college has been given an overall intake capacity of 195 seats certified by AICTE, which are distributed in diverse streams as follows: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical (KEAM) rank Commissioner for Entrance Examination makes allotment for merit seats.
Merit seats for colleges are selected by the management based on a separate ranking list derived by considering equal importance for KEAM marks and two marks (in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or equivalent) standardised. This makes the admission process standard and credible, and thus attracts worthy students from the state.
