University College of Engineering and Technology, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag

University College of Engineering and Technology, affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University, is one of the largest Institutes at Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. UCET has been starting in the year 2009 and has gained reputation as one of the centres for engineering education in the region. Anand has four niche B. Tech programmes in stream through 10-acre campus and it may take a total of 798 students.

UCET is known for its emphasis on technical education and this it proved as it was approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institution has drawn its reputation on offering quality education in different specialty fields of engineering in tune with the emerging needs of the society.

Library: An independent multi-storied modern edifice for the college library boasts of more than 10000 books and has subscription to the national and international journals The college library is a knowledge resource centre for students and faculty.

The campus has well developed Number of laboratories and workshops are available, such as carpentry, foundry, smithy, fitting, milling, machine shop, welding, and sheet metal. The entire campus offers a strong InfoTech support with optic fiber backbone, Wi-Fi and round the clock facility for books and other study materials.

To support student development, UCET has provided the facilities such as a modern music hall, play ground and well equipped gym and has an auditorium to conduct events and seminars. The college currently offers four full-time B. Tech programmes : Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering , Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering .

The courses in each programme aim at giving student a sound knowledge base in line with the goals and expectations of the industry or to enable them pursue higher learning if they so wish. The approved intake for all these courses is 210 across the four specialisations.

Original admission procedure of UCET Hazaribag occurs mainly through the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) which held by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) affiliated to the Jharkhand Government. This particular test provides that applicants be given a level playing field and that deserving students be offered a chance to join engineering colleges.

Also, the several measurement tools are observed while admitting the students where the college accepts JEE Main score of the students.
