The Veterinary College and Research Institute, Tirunelveli (VCRI Tirunelveli) is a premier constituent college which came into existence in the year of 2011. This institution is a veterinary science educational institution situated in Tamil Nadu, India. Actually, the campus occupies an area of 139. 21 acres with conditions being favorable for both, academic and research pursuits.
VCRI Tirunelveli has 348 students in total with the male and female ration of 47:53. In terms of faculty 53 members, it provides 2 courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Understanding the higher education field of Veterinary science and Animal husbandry, VCRI Tirunelveli has a significant contribution to promote knowledge in the improvement of animal health in the region.
Victory Children’s and Research Institute Tirunelveli has various amenities required for any child or student to grow academically and as a whole person. The B. V. Sc college library consists of 1433 number books and which is replenished from time to time as per the requirements . & A. H. courses. Modern laboratory facilities that are designed to accommodate all the department needs are provided.
There are the sports complex, the hall for holding events and seminars, a fitness center that is important for students’ body and health. An accumulation of a health center with first aid facilities guarantees students’ medical requirements met. the college also has their hostels for the students in their own gender to ensure students have a comfortable place to live.
Other facilities include Computer networking in wards/beds, Cafeteria for guests/faculty/staff, and accommodation for guest faculty and their attended/family. The institute offers two main courses: A five and half year B. V. Sc and AH program and two-year M. V. Sc program. Both are day programs intended to offer the candidate all round training in veterinary science. The B. V.
Sc and AH program has a predetermined student’s admission capacity of 80 students per year as admitted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock development while the M. V. Sc program has an unknown student’s admission capacity. At the end of the college academic year 2022, the institution had 414 undergraduate and 3 post graduate students.
The student-faculty ratio of the institute is closely aligned with its commitment to providing quality education for its students as well as the various programmes it offers. The admission process of VCRI Tirunelveli is aimed at identifying qualified student to be offered a chance to study veterinary. For admissions to the B. V.
