Vidyasagar College of Education, Darjeeling was established in the year 2007 as a co-educational institution to mould the future generation of teachers. The affiliated college is located at Rupandighi, Phansidewa, compact on campus space of 1. 07 acres. This NCTE-approved institute offers only one degree course, with a total student enrolment of 200 and the faculty strength of the college is 16.

Thus, the student-to-teacher ratio is favorable and each student gets proper attention and quality education. The facilities available in this college pertain to learning and enriching the learning experience of the students. The academic resources are located centrally in a well-stacked library which provides wide-ranging learning materials to the students.
