Vivekananda Institute of Education, Hooghly

A shining example of the same educational excellence within the state of West Bengal is Vivekananda Institute of Education, Hooghly. It came into existence in the year 2015, based at Chandipur village, for the sole purpose of chiselling future educators.

The institute is an affiliated college with approval from NCTE, offering two specialised programs at an undergraduate level: Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education. The Institute has a small campus of 1. 04 acres and a strength of 400 students, which enables it to provide a more focused learning environment with an extremely impressive student-faculty ratio of 30 dedicated faculty members.

It is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE). The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). This is an institution with very good modern facilities that assist its students in higher learning.

The institute has a well-equipped library that serves as a knowledge hub and an IT infrastructure, such that students keep themselves updated with the latest technological innovations in education. Ed 100 Admission to various courses at Vivekananda Institute of Education is based on merit, on marks obtained in respective qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests. In the case of B. Ed. , admissions shall be made as per the policy of the state government, the UT administration, and the affiliated university. D. El. Ed course: Admission is done on a merit basis, subject to the policies of the state government.
