Wali Institute of Teachers' Education, Barasat came into existence in 2010 and the college is committed to the cause of teachers for the future studies situated in Kolkata, West Bengal. The co-ed college is affiliated to the state university and duly approved by NCTE. On a compact 1-acre campus, this institution provides a congenial learning atmosphere for the 196 enrolled students.

The institute maintains a very healthy student-to-teacher ratio with 17 highly experienced teachers. Thus, the institute allows for proper and personal attention to be paid to the students. Boasts of a Variety of facilities aimed at enhancing learning processes; it has a well-stocked library with enough educational resources and study materials, doubling as a hub of knowledge.

The health center within the campus encompasses all first-aid facilities for the care of the health of its students. Similarly, there is an excellent IT infrastructure to equip the future teachers in preparation for the digital era.

The auditorium is meant for arranging a venue for events, seminars, and cultural activities, while departmental laboratories will provide hands-on experience in respective subjects, which are quite necessary for practical training for a teacher. Wali Institute of Teacher's Education focuses on quality education for the teaching fraternity and therefore offers only one full-time course, which is the B. Ed. Program.
