Younus Institute of Technology, Kollam

Younus Institute of Technology, located in Kannanalloor, Kollam, is one of the fastest-growing technological institutions in Kerala that was started in 2011. This accredited co-educational institute is situated in a 13-acre area and provides various courses in engineering for technological education. It has a unique niche for itself as an affiliated college, accomplishing a lot in the area of technical education.

The institute admitted 318 students while it has a faculty of 30, thus keeping the ratio of students to teachers a good number, thereby helping the students get individual attention during their studies. Younus Institute of Technology has a variety of facilities to support the learning processes and to provide a better academic experience for the students.

The well-stocked library has more than 25,000 books and 35,000 titles, including national and international journals in engineering and applied science. Using e-journals, students are well-positioned to make use of multimedia computer facilities for general references. It boasts of well-equipped laboratories that facilitate practical engineering-orientated education for students on campus.

The institution has provided well-furnished hostels for boys and girls for those students who live in the compound. It also pays considerable attention to physical health, boasting some of the best sporting facilities for games like volleyball, football, cricket, and badminton, besides having a well-equipped gym. Younus Institute of Technology provides four B.

Tech programmes for which students can pursue full-time education in four years. These programmes are Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering , Electrical & Electronics Engineering, & Mechanical Engineering .

This is an Affiliated College of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. Younus Institute of Technology allows students to join their academic community through the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination ( KEAM ). This is the state-level entrance exam through which aspiring students can get an opportunity to study engineering in this institute.
