Indo American College of Nursing, Moga

Indo American College of Nursing is a leading nursing college, which was started in the year 1997 at Moga, Punjab. This is a co-educational college, recognised by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, and affiliated to INC Indian Nursing Council to guarantee standard knowledge in the field of nursing.

The college is located on Four acre Which is well suited for learning and growing with least interferences from outside world. Admittedly, the institute offers 100 students’ enrolment, and the strength of the faculty is 30 teachers, so the ratio of students and teachers is rather comfortable, and students are ready to receive individual counselling.

Indo American College of Nursing has acquired several functional structures to cater with the academic objectives of the college and aspects of the college community.

These are practicaldemonstration laboratories to enable practical training for the students, stocked with modern technologic nursing tools and equip-ment; a library with extensive collection of current Nursing literature; and IT infrastructure gro-wing in receptiveness to enable electronic learning. The campus also contains a girls’ hostel, to facilitate comfortable dormitory accommodation for female students.

Thus, for students’ integral development, the college provides a possibility of using sports facilities, a gym. Canteen and auditorium are provided for students’ food and expansive requirements respectively while a health centre which includes, a sick bay is also available for students’ comfort.

The college also offers transport facility for the easy transport and guest house for the visiting faculty and their family members. The Indo American College of Nursing carries out three courses at its college for which candidates can apply as full-time courses in Nursing Education. These are a four year B. Sc Nursing, a two year Post Basic B. Sc Nursing , and a four year General Nursing and Midwifery courses.

The total approved intake for these courses is 130, B. Sc. Nursing intake is 40, Post Basic B. Sc Nursing intake of 30 and GNM of intake 60. The fact is that this list of programmes provides students with a vast choice so that they can select the option that corresponds to the carrier they want to build in the sphere of nursing.
