The college is located on a 25-acre campus in Aluva, Ernakulam district, and has been accredited with a B++ grade by NAAC. The college offers 14 full-time courses across B. Tech, M. Tech, and MCA programmes. The college has a student strength of over 1000, along with 85 faculty members.
The UG courses are offered in diverse specialisations, including Computer Science, Mechanical , Civil, Electronics and Communication , Electrical and Electronics, Robotics and Automation , and Safety and Fire Engineering. KMEA EC Ernakulam is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram.
The admissions for UG courses are based on the entrance exams, namely KEAM , whereas for PG courses GATE and KMAT Kerala examination is required along with the desired eligibility criteria. KMEA EC Ernakulam has an active placement cell assisting students with job opportunities and internships at top companies.
According to the NIRF 2025 report, the college placed 121 out of 129 students in the UG 4-year programme and all 13 students in the PG 2-year programme, with a median salary of Rs 3 LPA.
