Malwa College of Nursing, established in Barnala the year 2005, is one of the premier nursing college of Punjab state in India. Located in different scale area along the Raikot Main Highway in Mehal Kalan – Barnala, the college aims to provide various programmes concerning to nursing discipline.

Being an affiliated college, it secures permission by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) which makes it capable of providing quality educational services in the filed of nursing. The institute offers four full time programmes, the degree programmes and two diploma programmes with a total student capacity of 284.

At present, the college has 11 faculty members which allows for a desirable student to teacher ratio for its aspirational nurse students. Malwa College of Nursing has diverse facilities that will complement the learning system for the students in the college. A library should be well stocked with nursing literature and other information required from nursing texts, magazines, journals etc.

This campus has well equipped contemporary laboratories which facilitate practical exercises for the students in several nursing processes. The college provides for physical needs of the students by providing education it also provides physical fitness an recreation by availing sports facilities and a gym.

An auditorium located in the compound will be used to host events and seminars, developmental throughout campus such as academic and cultural. The college strives to make sure the welfare of he students through provision of first aid facilities through a health centre. Hostel accommodation has been provided for the students, and the students have the privilege to choose between male and female hostels.

There is a cafeteria must meet students and staff meal requirements, as well as accommodations that are rented out to visiting faculty or family members. Malwa College of Nursing has courses for the convenience of student’s educational abilities in the nursing field. The institute is offering four full-time courses, two of them being the undergraduate programmes and other two being diplomas.

The core of their degree provision lies in the four-year course called B. Sc. Nursing and the Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing, a two-year programme. For the diploma seekers, there are three years General Nursing and Mid Wifery ( GNM ) and two years Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) course are available.
