VMS Institute of Nursing Batala, which was set up in the year 2003 is one of the well known institute providing nursing education in Batala, Punjab. This congenial college affiliated to INC provides the opportunity for the interested candidates to learn the nursing courses in India. The institute is housed in a small plot of 3.

4 acres with an overall student strength of two hundred and twenty students and a faculty of twenty. VMS Institute of Nursing is a coeducational institution which offered the equal opportunity to both the male and female candidates. There are four special nursing courses of the institute of which two are degree courses and the other two are diploma courses which cater different categories of nursing students.

VMS Institute of Nursing is determined to ensure that an adequate environment for learning is available to its worthy students. It provides a variety of exceptional amenities to enable educational and personal development. It is a source of information with collections of nursing literature available in the library.

The institute has operational skills anchored in adequately equipped laboratories that mimic health care facilities. IT infrastructure helps students to be online and have access to all the online and electronic resources needed in the students’ learning process. There is also a sports complex, which will help students to gain and develop appropriate ideals of the physique as well as gain experience in teamwork.

VMS Institute of Nursing has four full-time nursing courses for students with different levels of nursing education. The courses are ANM , B. Sc Nursing, GNM , and Post Basic B. Sc Nursing. This institute admits 220 students in its total programmes offered for different levels of study.
